Thoughts on Mental Illness….

I’m SO mad!!!!  I can’t express how angry….My family has a long history of mental illness.  Alcohol and drugs the pain killers of choice.  But there’s also food, cigarettes, gambling as solace.  What we don’t do is talk about it. 

Thoughts on retirement…

I have finally given notice that I will retire the end of this year.  Although I’m 56, I’ve been working almost continuously since I was 16 years old – the only “time off” was when I was raising our three kids.  My illustrious career started with working 6 years as a cashier at A&P, then for 5 years as a medical secretary, then for just over a year for a construction company.
